According to the Laws of the Game and FA Rules, the pressure of a football should be between 8.5 PSI and 15.6 PSI at sea level. PSI stands for ‘pounds per square inch’. Each ball will require a specific pressure to perform as intended, so ensure to read the information provided on the ball to achieve the optimised PSI.
Delivery of our football pumps takes between 1-2 working days. For orders under £100, delivery costs £5.99 to the UK mainland. If you are not satisfied with your order, we accept returns within 14 days of your order. We can also arrange for a collection if required. Please see our delivery info page for full details.
The type of football pump you buy will depend on your situation. If you are only going to be pumping one or two footballs, a manual pump will be sufficient. However, if you work for a club and will be pumping multiple balls per training session, an electric pump will make life easier, inflating the balls more efficiently.
To pump a football correctly, ensure you always moisten the needle before inserting it into the ball’s valve. If you fail to do so, the needle could damage the ball. Carefully insert the football pump needle into the ball's inflation hole and pump the ball until you reach the desired pressure.
