After England's performances last week against Montenegro and Poland, the name on everybody's lips was Andros Townsend. The explosive winger scored on his senior international debut against Montenegro and played with excitement and determination against Poland helping England to their win.
On Sunday he struck again with another great performance against Aston Villa. Villas Boas had a tough choice to make, with Lennon and Lamela who could both play in the right wing position. The Tottenham manager choose to play Townsend after his explosive form for England and he didn't disappoint.
As Townsend scored a fantastic goal in the 31st minute after he seemed to whip in a cross, the ball bounced straight into the back of the net. AVB commented on Townsend's performance yesterday as "He is a great threat. His pace and ability to beat a man, he takes the team forward".
Townsend is one of England's new starlet's and many Tottenham and England fans alike will be hoping he can keep up this explosive form for the World Cup.
