There are some really important games taking place from now to the end of the year in the Premier League. Here, we give you our pick of the games with a prediction on how they may end. Call it our Christmas present from us to you.
Saturday 22 December
West Brom v Norwich- Only one point seperates the 7th and 8th place sides. Norwich are in the midst of an unbelievable run of form which has seen them go ten league without a loss. Diamond Football sponsored side West Brom are stumbling at the moment after their impressive start to the season. This one is close to call, but we fancy a draw. Prediction: West Brom 1 - 1 Norwich
Sunday 23 December
Chelsea v Aston Villa- The Blues return to League matches after their disappointing time at the Club World Cup sees them play host to Aston Villa. The midland side come of the back of two impressive victory over Norwich and Liverpool and will be looking to cause an upset to Chelsea's welcome home party. There could be a lot of goals in this one. Prediction: Chelsea 4 - 2 Aston Villa
Wednesday 26 December
Fulham v Southampton- Out of all the relegation battling sides' fixture on this day we have chosen this one because we could see the Seasiders getting something out of this. Although Craven Cottage is something of a fortress for Fulham, Southampton's attacking creativity and prowess is more than capable of breaking them down. One goal will decide this. Prediction: Fulham 0 - 1 Southampton
Saturday 29 December
Aston Villa v Wigan- This is the only game over the Holidays where two teams amongst the relegation battle clash- Wigan are 18th and Villa sit four places (but only three points) above them on the table. It could be said that both sides are amongst the most unpredictable teams in the whole league, so calling this one is difficult. But we are going to go with an away win for Wigan. Prediction: Aston Villa 2 - 3 Wigan
Sunday 30 December
Everton v Chelsea- Depending on whole the two sides in this clash, Spurs, Arsenal and West Brom fair during their late December clashes, this could be be a fight for 3rd, 4th, 5th or even 6th position. Everton will still be without main man Marouane Fellaini due to suspension, whilst John Terry is expected back for The Blues. We reckon this could be draw. Prediction: Everton 2 v 2 Chelsea
