It has been an eventful week on and off the pitch in football- the Champions League has provided us with much drama, which has been matched by managerial gossip in Europe. Olympiakos 2 - 1 Arsenal- Arsenal failed to grab top spot of their group after losing a first half lead. Arsene Wenger's men now face a nail-biting draw, as they may be facing Barcelona at the next stage.
Borussia Dortmund 1 - 0 Man City- The Manchester side finished their European woe with a defeat. Mancini's men did not manage to even qualify for the Euuropa League.
Celtic 2 v 1 Spartak Moscow- Celtic looked like they were heading out until Commons converted a penalty in the 82nd minute to make it 2 - 1. The Scots progress to the last 16.
Chelsea 6 v 1 Nordsjaelland- Despite thrashing their opponents last night, The Blues did not qualify for the knock-out stages due to Juventus' victory against Shaktar Donetsk.
Man United 0 v 1 CFR Cluj- The Premier League leaders suffered their first home defeat in Europe for three years. The Red Devils had already qualified as group leaders, and now look to the weekend's Manchester Derby.
Jose Mourinho is set to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season- he is reported to be heading back to the Premier League. Pep Guardioli his rumoured to be coming to England, too, after his sabbatical. Are the two managerial maestros after the same job- which many believe to be Manchester United?
Queens Park Rangers have been reported to have cancelled their Christmas party, in order to concentrate wholly on their relegation battle.
