Season after season, the Premier League gives us a little side-story of success. One that every fan, no matter who you support, can get behind and will to do well. Last season we had Brendan Rogers and his welsh wizards at Swansea who took the top flight by storm with the creative brand of football.
This season; step foward Steve Clarke and West Bromwich Albion.
At his first season as the big boss so far, Clarke has impressed with wins against Liverpool and Everton. He and his team now find themselves sitting pretty at 6th position on the League Table. So what is it that has this relegation-battling side to within one goal of the top quarter of the Premiership?
Alot has to be said for the tactical whiz that is Clarke. He served his long apprenticeship under the likes of Jose Mourinho. He has propelled some extra spirit and belief with West Brom which shimmers through the side.
But we think there is one major reason behind West Brom's success- defence. And more specifically Ben Foster, who is the heart of The Baggies defensive prowess. Foster (pictured with Diamond Football equipment) has been in fine form this season and is showing Roy Hodgson what England are missing!
Can West Brom continue this run? We have one answer; yes (as long as you keep Mr Foster).
