Europa League: Southampton vs Vitesse match preview

Tomorrow Ronald Koeman's Southampton will face a club he previously managed in Vitesse Arnham. Both sides know a win is crucial if they are to have a chance of reaching the group stage of the Europa League.

Tomorrow evening Southampton take on Vitesse Arnhem in the third round of the Europa League Qualifying stages.

The Saints have had a good pre-season, most recently beating Dutch side Feyenoord 3-0 last week. However, the side have incurred some big departures with Clyne, Schneiderlin and Alderweireld all leaving the club. Although, the new signings to replace them, look to be a good fit for Southampton especially Spanish forward Juanmi.

Vitesse on the other hand have had busy pre-season starting on the 4th July playing five matches before their match-up against Southampton, which should help their match-fitness. The Dutch side who have a close-relationship with Chelsea have secured the loans of two of the blues Youth FA Cup winners Izzy (Izaiah) Brown and Lewis Baker, who both look like they could threaten The Saints.

Saints manager Ronald Koeman has stated his intent to compete in Europe this year and the pre-season tour around Holland will have done his club no harm against their opponents.

Our Prediction: 3-1 to Southampton
