Up to the 29th minute the match between Real Madrid and Inter Milan was a quiet one, with some close chances from both sides but neither managing to hit the back of the net. Ronaldo coming the closest with a free-kick that hit the post.
It was Real Madrid who broke the deadlock when Jese was able to score a well-placed finish into the bottom right corner. It seemed to be an uphill struggle for Inter from there.
During the 2nd half Hernanes shot (Inter's closest of the game) from a free-kick which Keylor Navas had to pull out a great save to stop.
Real scored their second when Inter tried to push out quickly from a corner but Varane stayed forward for Madrid and was able to score a well-timed finish.
However, the pick of the goals was from James Rodriguez who scored a wonderful curling free-kick, after only 5 minutes of being on the pitch. Ending the match at 3-0.
Despite the loss for Inter, both sides showed positives ahead of the new season which in pre-season is considered the real prize rather than winning the game.
