WWC 2015: England vs Canada Match Preview

On Saturday evening England will take on Canada in what is set to be a tough game for the Lionesses.

The BC Place Stadium will play host to England vs Canada on Saturday. With the winner earning themselves a place in the Semi-Finals.

One of England's biggest threats to the Canada side is Fran Kirby as she has shown her skill throughout England's World Cup matches and is a tough player for any defender to mark. The lionesses manager Mark Sampson will also be hoping Karen Carney and Lucy Bronze are able to play the way they did against Norway in order to defeat the hosts.

Canada's big talking point is their defence, which so far has conceded only 1 goal. While the midfield will try and slow the game down to suit them, which has worked in their previous World Cup games. Christine Sinclair has been Canada's main woman upfront and she will be looking to get a few more goals to her name during the match-up.

While England prefer to dominate possession and Canada look to play defensive, the match-up between the two sides is going to be an interesting one.

Our Prediction: 1-0 to England.
