WWC 2015: Germany vs Norway

Both sides won by big results in their first World Cup matches. But tonight both sides know they face a tough game.

While last time round both sides managed big results against World Cup newcomers. This time they will face a much tougher challenge.

Germany are currently the highest FIFA ranked side in the competition, while Norway are ranked 11th, yet they managed a 10-0 and 4-0 win respectively in their previous World Cup games.

Norway go into the gaming having a very tight defence after previously allowing Thailand only three shots on goal. While they were able to sit back in their last match the Germans will not be so easy. So Even Pellerud will be keen for his side to have an aggressive start to the game, pressing the Germans high up the pitch and to counter quickly, to try and disrupt the Germans style of play.

While Germany have shown they are determined to win the competition and if allowed to play their game, they have the chance to make it a very frustrating and difficult match for the Norwegian side. No doubt the danger women for Germany will be Celia Sasic and Anja Mittag who have enough creative flair to trouble any defence.

Our Prediction: 3-1 Germany
