England face Switzerland tonight in their opening Euro 2016 qualifier in Basle.
After a disappointing World Cup, Roy Hodgson has come under fire from almost every England fan in the country. With many saying the FA should relieve him of his services.
However, Hodgson is an experienced manager having managed 19 different teams including 4 international sides (Switzerland, UAE, Finland & England) as well as club sides namely Inter Milan, Udinese and Liverpool.
England captain Wayne Rooney also gave his vote of support saying "the players are 100% behind Roy Hodgson" and with firepower including the likes of Sturridge, Sterling and the England captain, Hodgson is expected to win tonight.
Although the England squad will know that despite the odds being in their favour they will have to watch out for Xherdan Shaqiri and Gokhan Inler. Hogson will hope to encourage supporters by bringing in a new era of prosperity for England with his recent call ups including the young Fabian Delph and John Stones.
The England manager will hope to start the Euro Qualifiers with a win which will be his first step to regaining the support of England fans.
