France vs Germany Preview

Tonight the two European giants France and Germany face off to win a place in the World Cup semi-final.

The quarter finals of the World Cup kicks off tonight with France vs Germany in the iconic Maracanã stadium.

During the group stages both teams did well qualifying in top position. Although when Germany played Algeria their aura of invincibility seemed to fade away after Germany's defence was broken down a number of times.

France also struggled in their last 16 game, against Nigeria after they had to rely on two late goals to qualify.

However, both teams will know that they need to up their game tonight. France will be relying on the likes of Antoine Griezmann and Benzema to give them their attacking threat, as well as talented midfielder Paul Pogba. While Germany will be counting on impressive playmaker Toni Kroos and Thomas Muller to help them going forward and Manuel Neuer to stop them conceding at the back.

In terms of stats they are in France's favour since France won five and lost three matches previously against the Germans. As well as the fact France manager Didier Deschamps is undefeated in 10 straight matches.

We believe that France will win tonight's game despite many fans giving Germany the win, as France have the attacking power and composition to combat the Germans defence.
