Germany vs. Portugal

Tonight sees Germany vs Portugal in what is seen as one of the biggest matches so far.

Tonight Group G kicks off with Germany vs Portugal. Germany are one of the favourites to win the World Cup but Portugal will be counting on their Hero Cristiano Ronaldo to see them through.

Portugal: Ronaldo had been injured after Portugal's match vs Ireland, but he has declared himself 100% fit for the game. Portugal are known for playing a direct style and using their wings to great effect with Ronaldo on one and usually Nani on the other. Alongside a strong midfield which includes Joao Moutinho, Raul Meireles and William Carvalho, which will make it tough for Germany.

Germany: However, Germany will know that one of the best ways to beat Portugal is to keep Ronaldo quiet. An amazing stat for the Germans is that they've only lost one of their last 18 games in the group stages of the World Cup. With Neuer back from injury and Lahm expected to return the Germans will be hoping to win most likely their toughest group game and progress to the next stage.

Our Predictions: Unfortunately for Portugal we see Germany winning this game 2-1 although we think the Portuguese will put up a good fight and that it will be a very entertaining match.
