Top 10 Players who are expected to impress at the World Cup

During the Brazil World Cup the weights of entire nations fall on the few, here are our top 10 expected to impress at the World Cup.

At the World Cup many players are expected to put in great performances but we have selected the top 10 players who we think will impress at the tournament.

Top 10:

1. Neymar (Brazil) - As Brazil are hosting the World Cup many of their fans expect to win the tournament and all are expecting Neymar to perform. We think he will have an impressive tournament playing for his country showing dynamic skills and scoring some important goals.

2. Rooney (England) - Almost every sports news reader in Britain will have mentioned about expectations on Rooney at the World Cup. But after a disappointing end to the season with Man United we think Rooney will be out to prove doubters wrong and fit well in to the England No.10 roll.

3.Messi (Argentina) - Of course Messi had to be mentioned, as well as all the great players Argentina have we know Messi is one of the best in the world. We're predicting spectacular skills and goals from Messi but will his defensive team-mates allow him to progress through the tournament?

4.Hazard (Belgium) - Belgium have a great selection of up and coming talents and none more so than Hazard. The winger will want to impress at the World Cup and with his flair for attacking as well as linking up with Chelsea team mate Romelu Lukaku, we think he will be one of the best.

5.Iniesta (Spain) - Known for fast and accurate passing many Spanish fans will be pinning their hopes on Iniesta to add balance to the team and provide the assists needed to help Spain win successive World Cups.

6.Dempsey (USA) - The US are alongside Germany, Portugal and Ghana in one of the toughest groups of the tournament. As captain and known for scoring big occasion goals the USA are expecting Dempsey to be their shinning light and will be hoping to progress past the group stage of the competition.

7.Ribery (France) - After loosing the Champions League final Ribery will be out for revenge and with a fast pace and great cross we're expecting big things from the French International.(Provided he's fit for the tournament).

8.Kroos (Germany) - Kroos has shown a passion for attack at Bayern Munich so we will be looking forward to his punishing finishes. Although many predict the defensive aspect of the game will be his downfall.

9.Ghoochannejhad (Iran) - After leaving Iran at the age of eight and returning one of their biggest footballing talents, Iran's hopes will fall on Ghoochannejhad's shoulders to get results against tough opposition which include Argentina and Nigeria.

10.Sanchez (Chile) - Alexis Sanchez knows his country will be depending on him to get past probably the toughest group of the competition alongside the likes of Spain and Holland. Sanchez has put a lot of effort in to recent performances and we expect him to give his all along with his attacking flair for Chile at the World Cup.
