City win the Premier League!

Manchester City celebrated winning the Premier League yesterday after their 2-0 win over West Ham.

Once the final whistle blew on Sunday, Manchester City began celebrating their 2nd Premier League win in 3 years.

In order to win the title City knew they had to gain at least a point against West Ham. Although in true City fashion they went for a 2-0 win, with goals from Samir Nasri and captain Vincent Kompany.

Over the course of the season Manchester City have played a free flowing attacking game. They did experience some defensive problems after Demichelis and Lescott both underperformed. But towards the end of the season Demichelis proved he was the right centre back to pair with Kompany after defending well and scoring some important goals.

City's midfield have been crucial in their style of play, moving the ball quickly from defence to attack and slowing it down when needed. With a huge goal contribution especially from Yaya Toure who scored 20 goals (3rd highest in the Premier League).

With some of the clubs best players playing up front, the strikers were a major factor in City's Premier League win even though Aguero was injured for part of this season he still managed 17 goals, with his replacement (for first choice striker) Edin Dzeko scoring 16.

Overall the club have been good to watch this season and have put in some memorable performances. Which suites a calm and collected Manuel Pellegrini who won his first european league title yesterday.
