Roy Hodgson will select his 23 man squad for the World Cup on Monday 12th May.
Here's predictions of who he we will choose:
Goalkeepers:
This year Hodgson has a nice selection of keepers who are all regulars for their teams. The biggest debate is who the third position will go to with most suggesting he will take either Ruddy or Forster although Ruddy has performed well this season, we think Roy will select Forster for the positive impact he can inject following Celtic's Scottish Premier League win.
Our predicted selection: Joe Hart, Ben Foster and Fraser Forster.
Defenders:
With a choice of experience and youth this will be a tough selection for Hodgson. We have a feeling Hodgson will pick Luke Shaw over Leighton Baines, as Shaw has impressed everyone this season as one of the best up and coming talents in the Premier League.
Our predicted selection: Ashley Cole, Gary Cahill, Phil Jagielka, Kyle Walker, Luke Shaw, Glen Johnson and Michael Dawson.
Midfielders:
English midfielders have all played well this season with notable performances from Ross Barkley, Gerrard and Shelvey. Barkely may be chosen over some of the more experienced midfielders, as he has shown just how good the youth of England can be with creative and powerful performances for Everton.
Our predicted selection: Aaron Lennon, Adam Lallana, Steven Gerrard, Andros Townsend, Ross Barkley, Frank Lampard, Jonjo Shelvey and Jack Wilshere.
Strikers:
The English strike force has a number of different qualities with some playing as target men and others playing poacher roles. As an interesting spin we think he will choose Ricky Lambert over some other striking talents, simply because of his passion and desire to score which seemed to be lacking from the last World Cup squad.
Our predicted selection: Wayne Rooney, Daniel Sturridge, Danny Welbeck, Ricky Lambert.
