It has been reported in the last few minutes that Nigel Adkins has been dismissed as Southampton manager, by the club's board.
The dismissal will come as a shock to the club's faithful. Adkins is a fan's favourite, after leading them from League One to the Premiership with two successive promotions.
Nigels Adkin's sacking came after The Saints heroically fought back to 2 - 2 against European Champion's Chelsea from a two goal deficit, on Wednesday.
The footballing world have heaped praise on Adkin's after guiding his side three points clear of the relegation zone and securing bringing on young talents such as Luke Shaw.
The Saints have appointed Argentine Mauricio Pochettino as manager, although it is unsure whether this is on a full time basis.
