WWC 2015: Australia vs Sweden Match Preview

Current 2nd in Group D Australia take on 3rd place side Sweden in their final game in Group D. Both sides know a win will guarantee them a place at the knock-out stages.

The fight for a place at the knockout stages will add extra spice to the Australia vs Sweden match tomorrow (morning).

While Australia only need a draw to guarantee their place at the next stage of the World Cup, Sweden have to winBoth Sam Kerr and De Vanna look to be Australia's main threats and Sweden will have to pay special attention to them especially as they like to swap wings during the game

It's expected Sweden will go into the game with a 4-4-2 with a foucs on attacking. Sweden's Lotta Schelin who has scored 80 goals in just 152 games for Sweden (but has not been able to score yet this World Cup), will want to get her name on the score sheet especially in a game as crucial as this. Keeper Hedvig Lindhal will have to be on top form if they are to have a hope of beating the Australians.

Overall it's the Swedes who are expected to attack while Australia knowing a draw will send them through, are likely to play the defensive game.

Our Prediction: 2-2
