Suarez makes his return

Luis Suarez's return to Liverpool after serving a 10 match ban was a thrilling one which saw the player score two goals and The Reds win 3 - 1 away at The Stadium of Light.

Yesterday saw Liverpool VS Sunderland. With Sunderland having sacked Paulo Di Canio on the 22nd September, they had caretaker manager Kevin Ball in charge for his second game. Alternatively all of Liverpool were awaiting the premier league return of their start striker Luis Suarez after his 10 match ban for biting.

Sturridge was the first to score with a close-range effort, although there was some controversy with the goal as the ball appeared to strike his arm. Suarez was next to score in the 35th minute. At half-time the score stood at 2-0 to Liverpool. After the restart Di Canio’s signing Giaccherini managed to get one back for Sunderland in the 51st minute. However, it wasn’t enough with Suarez rounding off his comeback with another goal in the 89th minute. The match ended at 3-1 to Liverpool.

This was a fantastic win for Liverpool especially away at the Stadium of Light. Although, this made things go from bad to worse for Sunderland with no win in their Premier League campaign so far. Kevin Ball or the next manager they appoint at Sunderland will have a tough job ahead if they are going to turn this round for Sunderland. Brendan Rodgers on the other hand will be very happy with Liverpool’s start to the season which has landed them in 2nd place but will have to try and maintain that spot.
