The England Under-21 team will be heading home from the European Championships after losing their second group game against Norway on Saturday evening.
The young Three Lions team were beaten 2 - 1 by their Norwegian. That follows a 1 - 0 defeat to Italy a few days previous, meaning England will be eliminated from the competition at the group stages in two consecutive tournaments.
After the shambolic display, coach Stuart Pearce's future has come under much scrutiny. He is set for talks with the FA later in the week- his current contract runs out this month.
Pearce has been highly critical of his players, stating "they have not done themselves any credit". Few can disagree with that comment.
England will play their final game of tournament against Israel tomorrow. They will then head home and many of the players are expected to take holidays abroad away from football.
