It is no secret that Peter Odemwingie is unhappy at West Bromwich Albion. The Nigerian striker tried to leave the club for Queens Park Rangers in January, but his transfer was rejected by the Baggies. Since then he has only made a handful of cameo substition appearances for West Brom.
And now, Odemwingie has taken to his favourite social networking site, Twitter to hit out at his employers. In a flurry of posts that mirrored his criticisms in January, the striker tweeted, "Keeping me on the bench now is worst [sic] than what they did on the 31st".
Copious amounts of the West Brom faithful leapt to their club's defense and when one fan suggested that Peter should get the sack- "That's my wish," was what he replied.
A statement from the club has been greatly anticipated following the weekend's comments- and now BBC news has reported the club have explained they will deal with the matter internally. A spokesperson for West Brom said, ""The club are aware of what Peter has said and we will deal with it internally."
The rebel striker was fined two weeks wages for his behaviour in January but the punishment for this recent outburst remains to be seen. Odemwingie's "wish" may come true.
