WWC 2015: Germany vs France Match Preview

#1 ranked side Germany take on #3 ranked France in the Quarter-Finals of the Women's World Cup on Friday. In what is set to be a close match-up.

Germany and France both won their previous matches by three goals and take on each other in Friday's quarter-final match-up.

So far the Germans have lived up to their reputation scoring fifteen goals in three games, during the group stages and beating Sweden 4-1 in their round of 16 match. Anja Mittag and Celia Sasic have been the stand out performers for the side developing a great partnership on opposite wings. Although Silvia Neid will try to keep her player grounded as the match-up against France is their biggest challenge of the tournament so far.

Over the course of the tournament the French have developed a good passing game and will most likely go for the same set-up against Germany. Le Sommer has performed well at the tournament as many expected, playing a good passing game to pull defences apart creating an opening for the likes of Necib as well as some good finishing.

The match-up between these two European giants will be a tough one for both sides, thanks to their good form and team ability.

We're predicting: 3-2 win to France as they will have the edge due to their play-style.
