Germany finished top of their group after beating both Thailand and the Ivory Coast as well as earning a draw with Norway. Unlike 5th ranked side Sweden who have fallen below expectations after only earning three draws in their group.
The Germans danger women are Celia Sasic and Anja Mittag who both managed a hat trick during their match with the Ivory Coast. They have been in great form during the group stages with Mittag scoring 4 and gaining two assist and Sasic scoring three and so will be players for Sweden to look out for.
While the Swede's will be aware about the danger women they will also know that their own performance will have to be improved, if they are to get a win against the Germans. Defensively they will have to disciplined to stop a free-flowing German team.
Both Pia Sundhage and Silvia Neid will be expecting a tough match up. With the win going to the team that wants it more.
