What to expect from the British in the UCL tonight

After a brilliant nights work in the Champions League for the Manchester clubs yesterday, three British teams - Celtic, Chelsea and Arsenal -  compete tonight. Will they be enjoying the same victory?

Last night saw the return of the Champions League and there was plenty to marvel at with emphatic displays from Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and PSG.

There was also much to rejoice about for English fans as both Manchester United and City sealed their first Champions League victory of the season in fantastic fashion. Manchester United beat Bayer Leverkusen 4 - 2, whilst City won by three goals to nil away at Plzen.

After such an impressive starts to the campaign from their counterparts, the British clubs playing tonight will be looking to do much the same. Here is our predictions for the Chelsea, Arsenal and Celtic games.

Chelsea v FC Basel

The Blues met their Swiss opponents in the Europa League last season on their way to winning the competition - beating them in the semi-final. That time Chelsea fought well and ultimately outclassed Basel and tonight we should expect much of the same. Prediction: Chelsea 3 - 1 FC Basel

Marseille v Arsenal

Arsene Wenger will bring his young Gunners back to his home country for this Champions League tie. The North London have looked impressive so far this campaign after a shakey start at Aston Villa. Their European pedigree has been enhanced by new signing Ozil, also. Arsenal should win this. Prediction: Marseille 0 v 3 Arsenal

AC Milan v Celtic

The Scottish side will kick off their second successive Champions League campaign against another European giant in AC Milan. Celtic have found themselves in the group of death, but do not expect that to dampen their enthusiasm for the competition. Sadly, however, cannot see them pulling off a miracle here. Prediction: AC Milan 4 - 0 Celtic
