Five Premiership Transfers That Could Still Happen

There are only nine days left before the January Transfer window closes, but speculation over which players will be making a move within the Premiership is rife. We name five players that could leave one Premier League club for another in the coming weeks.

During the January Tranfer window, there has been a number of players bought from foriegn shores that look to be promising signings. However, the transfers that have made an instant impact are players bought from one Premiership by another- for example, Joe Cole and Demba Ba. These success stories have made managers stop searching far and wide for new signings, and pay attention to the talent that lays before them in the Premier League.

With under two weeks before the transfer window is closed, we expect there to be some big money deals as managers look to improve their current squad. Below we look at five Premier League players that could be moving to a domestic opponent very soon.

Danny Graham (Swansea) - To Norwich/ Sunderland

Despite hitting a great run of form recently, Danny Graham's relationship with Swansea boss Michael Laudrup has become strained. It has been reported that both Norwich and Sunderland have made identical offers of £4 million for the striker. It is believed that Graham would opt for The Black Cats over The Canaries, if given the choice.

Florent Malouda (Chelsea) - To QPR

The Frenchman has been at The Blues since 2007, but the winger is out of favour at club- he is yet to make an appearance for Chelsea this season. Chelsea looked to sell Malouda last Summer, but were unsuccessful. Harry Redknapp is looking to strengthen his side in every position and may make a bid for him very soon.

Peter Odemwingie (West Brom) - To QPR / Newcastle

The rumour mill has been rife with gossip on where Odemwingie may be playing his football in February. When Newcastle sold Demba Ba to Chelsea, it looked like they had found an unlikely replacement in the Baggies forward. However, in the past week or so, it has been reported that the South African is keen on a big money move to QPR.

Darren Bent (Aston Villa) - To Newcastle

It has been well reported that Darren Bent is not a favourite of Villa boss Paul Lambert. The striker has made limited appearances for Villa this season- and may be looking for any chance to leave the club. Bent's style of play is not too dissimilar from Demba Ba and could be a great replacement. It all depends on whether Mike Ashley is willing to splash the cash...

Mario Balotelli (Manchester City) - To Spurs

You could be forgiven for thinking this move will never happen- but such reports have been floating around footballing circles for awhile now. Many believe that Spurs are only one  world class player short of establishing themselves as title challengers. Balotelli looks destined to leave Manchester- and believe me, there is a good chance it will be for London, rather than abroad.
