Euro Qualifiers: England's Players are Stepping Up

During the last World Cup, England were left disappointed after being knocked out early on in the competition. Now however, the team appears to be stepping up to the plate after winning their 5th England qualifier in a row.

Roy Hodgson set out with an England side that included some familiar faces (Rooney, Welbeck etc.) and some less familiar (Harry Kane, Clyne etc.)

This new blend of both (international) experienced and new faces appears to be working well for England after they secured their 5th win out of 5 in Group E of the Euro 2016 Qualifiers.

During the game Welbeck appeared to be an unsung hero after he scored and played some impressive dribbles to cause the Lithuanian defence all sorts of problems.

Michael Carrick role during the match to protect the defence and lay off short passes to Henderson and Delph greatly helped the side and is likely something Hodgson will utilise in future matches.

The subs also provided a great impact during the game after Harry Kane came on to score in just 80 seconds and Theo Walcott provided an injection of pace which was ideal for England late on.

England's new boys Harry Kane, Nathaniel Clyne and Delph looked to be a good combination of players coming through, while Rooney, Welbeck and Carrick helped keep the team's structure.
