Is Luis Suarez the best Liverpool striker of the Premier League era?

After a virtuoso performance against Norwich yesterday in which the Uruguayan scored four sublime goals, we ask - can Luis Suarez be considered the best Liverpool striker of the Premier League era?

At this moment in time, Luis Suarez is the best player in the Premier League. There I have said it - he's better than Rooney, better than Aguero and even better than Ramsey.

The Uruguayan's amazing performance against Norwich last night has made sure he is the undisputed King of the Premier League, for now. His four brilliant goals also make him top scorer this season with 13 goals, despite missing the first five games.

One title that may now also be afforded to him is the statement that Suarez is the best Liverpool striker of the Premier League era.

There is, of course, good competition for that personal accolade as some great attackers have called Anfield home in the past 21 years. Such greats include Fernando Torres, Michael Owen and, fan's favourite, Robbie Fowler.

All the players mentioned above have set records for the club and, during their time, were lethal in attack for The Reds. But what sets Suarez apart?

Its the goals. Not just the amount he has scored but the way he has scored him. Three of the four that Suarez scored last night are contenders for Goal of the Season - that is three goals in one game by one player!

One thing is for sure, Suarez will be playing in the Champions League next season because he deserves to. Whether it will be with Liverpool is the question...
